Refund Policy
Last updated 4 September 2026
Flash is a digital subscription, supplied and available to you the moment you subscribe. This page sets out when we will and will not refund it.
Try it before you pay
Flash is free while we are in beta, and paid plans come with a 30-day trial that does not ask for a card. The trial is there so you can decide whether it suits how you work before any money changes hands. Please use it.
The general position: no refunds
Because Flash is digital and made available in full immediately, subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. That includes part-used months, months you did not get round to using, and periods already run when you cancel.
Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not refund the current period. You keep full access until the period you have paid for ends.
24-hour goodwill period
If you change your mind, email us within 24 hours of a charge and we will refund that payment in full, no reason needed. One goodwill refund per account. We will process it to the original payment method, normally within five working days.
Ask at support@flash.tattoo and include the account email.
When we will refund beyond that
We will always put things right where the fault is ours:
- A duplicate or incorrect charge.
- A billing error on our side, including a charge after you cancelled.
- An extended outage that made the service materially unusable for a significant part of a billing period.
These are refunds or credits at our reasonable discretion, sized to the problem.
What this policy is not about
Deposits and tattoo fees are nothing to do with us. Flash does not process payments between a client and an artist. We record what an artist tells us about a deposit; we never hold the money. If you are a client wanting a deposit back, that is between you and your artist under their own cancellation policy, which is shown to you and frozen onto your booking when it is confirmed. We cannot refund it, move it, or intervene in the dispute.
Your legal rights
Most Flash accounts are held by businesses (artists, studios and sole traders), and the statutory cancellation rights for consumers do not generally apply to them.
If you subscribe as a consumer, you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital services contract. By subscribing and using the service straight away you ask us to begin supply immediately and accept that you lose that cancellation right once supply has begun. Our 24-hour goodwill period sits on top of, and does not reduce, any rights you do have. Nothing here limits your statutory rights.
Changes
We may update this policy; the version that applies is the one published when you were charged. See also our Terms of Service.
